Hi I have this player

http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/6049/dsc003472jr1.jpg

I just got a new battery. But now I cut off the wires of old battery without making any notes. I don't know which terminals are positive and negative. Can some body tell me which one is positive? The processor is ATJ2093H.

Regards

loneranger , see if there is any markings on the two terminals.

But likely there won't be any. However, look for this small diode that is connected to either one of the terminals. One terminal would have it, the other without.

The terminal with the extra diode would be the +ve terminal.

I don't see any diode. There is this wire going under the screen.

loneranger , it's difficult telling which terminal is which. If you could, take a few closer & clearer pictures.

loneranger , the 2nd picture, where you have a circle in it. I see abit of red stuff on the green circuit board, did the red thing come from the battery wire?

If so, that pin would be the +ve terminal, and the other -ve.

There is a little red but I don't know if thats from the wire sheath. Its really hard to see.

Here is whole image of the player.

Is there any one else with the same player can look up and tell me the orientation of the wires terminal?

Thanks

loneranger , for me, i would just connect the 2 terminals, and flick the switch on. If it turns on, then you've got the terminals right.

If it does not turn on, then immediately flick the switch back off. Change the polarity of the terminals and you'll be done.

The battery with reversed polarity would hardly or even damage the player, as the voltage is very low. So i won't worry about it damaging the player should the terminals be wrong. Just don't charge the player with the wrong terminals and the player would be fine.
