t.powley , generally for nano-clones, only the ipod shuffle battery can fit into the available space. The other ipod models (20G, 40G, video, nano) all have a much larger sized battery (either longer, thicker or wider).
i'm not really sure about the ipod battery, as they have an additional wire for the capacity/voltage sensor of some sorts. While the nano-clones have only 2 wires.
i've not seen anyone trying with an ipod battery, and even if you used the ipod shuffle battery, the mAh rating is also about the same as the nano-clones.
But you still can get replacement battery either via ebay like what you have found, or from hobby stores. But i tried a search on the internet for hobby kit batteries and seems like all the available manufacturer's lipo batteries are too large for the nano-clones. |
