So i've had my player 3 days. I'm running on a Dell Dimension 8400. I went to plug in my mp4 player tonight and out of the blue, it's not detecting the player. It just keeps bringing up a balloon saying Usb not recognized. It'll say troubleshoot, but nothing will happen. It will continue to turn the player on and off slowly draining the battery. I can double click and it says usb device not recognized, Usb Root Hub (2ports), Unused Port, Unknown Device. When the player is disconnected from the pc, I can access all my files and they play perfectly.

Here's the crazy thing. I plug the mp4 player into my Toshebia latop. It works! I can transfer and it has no problems. So does anyone know how to fix a hardware issue, I really need to use my Dell because all of my files are on it. Plus it's a fairly new computer.

Thanks

I have similar issue with my MP4 player. I believe that those Ipod clone MP3/MP4 players are compatible with USB hub. You have to plug it directly tp PC USB port.

I did try to use other usb ports. Here's the funny thing....
I was using a 2ft USB belkin extention cable to hook into my pc. When I just connected the mp4 player directly into it, without the usb extentions it worked! Maybe my cord is shot. I do now have to connect my player into my back usb ports, instead of the front ones. But hey it works.

THANKS BOYS
