ill try make this a detailed and informative review.
Today i received my package and it was the standard box with basic contents.
as seen i picture it included a driver cd, instruction manual, mini usb adapter, earphones and a wall charger (but no travel adapter).
The construction of the player is 100% plastic but the LCD cover is glass (replacements are available from Uxcell's website) it has a hook for a lanyard to hang the player from, it is located on the back at the very top. The player has an inbuilt speaker and a 180mAh Li-Ion battery. Its
features are [b]1.8 inch TFT Screen, 65000 Colors,
Music MP1, MP2, MP3.WMA.WMV, ASF WAV audio format and ID3 Lyrics,
Image Viewer JPEG, GIF, SWF ,
AMV Player with MP3 Player Utilities,
E-Book,
Digital Recording,
FM Tuner and
4 Games
The speaker is good at low volumes but when you crank it the sound becomes very distorted. Use with earphones (used Ipod earphones) is very good, there is no distortion at all and sounds very clear. Video playback seems pretty smooth and not blocky (included was a cartoon). The player was in fact true 2GB. Today (i skipped a few songs and ect to simulate normal use) it lasted 5 hours 30 minutes with 128K WMA songs. so basically i would say you would get 6 hours use out of it. it wouldn't be that hard to find a replacement battery bigger than the standard one. if anyone needs measurements of the battery just let me know.
LAYOUT
On the front of the player (left to right) we have Navigate left or skip back, Menu, Navigate Right or skip right)
To the left of the player (top down) we have the headphone jack, Power button (play), Record Button (marked R) and master power switch
To the right of the player (top down) we have the 5-pin Mini USB connector, Increase Volume (marked "+), Decrease Volume (marked -) and the Microphone hole
The buttons on the player seem great except the menu button (round one with "M" on it), it sometimes gets stuck in but is easy to jiggle back into spot. The layout of the buttons and User Interface are pretty much the same as the FMP 1.8 i previously got from Uxcell... yes, yes it does have all the same firmware features like the slow file browse (seems a little faster though). It does have the phone book feature
The Specifications that seem VERY wrong.

Well then, lets crack it open.
where the lanyard loop is is one screw, under the shiny sticker stating size is another. in the middle of each side (where 2 buttons are each side) is clips to hold the player together.
hmm. what a nice blue battery, states 3.7V 180mAh.
if you remove the battery and speaker you see this... a piece of double sided tape and a shiny sticker covering the chipset.... so what chipset does it use? what memory chip? what radio?
Chipset: ATJ2091H FC252FA 1Cs
Memory: Samsung 704 K9LAG08U0M PCB0 CSL661Q
Radio: SPT SP3767HN 07AS06
OK that covers the inside, ill just post some more pics of th player
IF there is anything i missed or that you would like to know, please post or PM me and ill post it or answer it
My Thoughts The speaker is good if you dont want it very loud. Construction seems good but buttons are cheap. it responds well in menu's (main menu's such as music, photo ect). BUT like the FMP it fades tracks, file browsing is slow and going into the music menu to get to equalizer, repeat, ect is slow. it seems pretty high quality audio wise though. As with any Chinese MP4/MP3, quality can vary player to player even from the same series and even batch.
i like the player and i will use it instead of my FMP as they are basically the same but just more compact
ill give it a 7/10
