Just tried this firmware on my old Rockchip 2606 player that looks the same as this and IT WORKED  
Got my player from ebuyer, in fact its the first rockchip player I ever had.
I didn't expect this to work at all, but in fact its better than the original firmware was I'll be using this from now on, thanks Pesho
Don't anyone else try this unless you have another working backup, or your player is DEAD |

Guys are you able to provide the tool for flashing the device, I believe it is called Consumer1.0.0.1.exe? I received a device with no manual, no disks, cables etc....

found a version on this site and flashed firmware, now have a beautiful white screen  Seems I have a different player (looks just like the foto in the first post though). |

The firmware is designed for board model JR-008 V2, the memory type is MLC. This firmware:

works with it now, but only after i got the screen replaced. Also, DO NOT flash this with the SLC firmware, it messes up the memory with the BAD BLOCKS problem, and i barely got it back to normal with the Zarva "cleaning" firmware. |
