Hi
Easiest way would be to extract and save the screen with the clutter on it from the firmware, you can do this with RKLogoedit.
Then open the image in Windows paint, erase the clutter and resave it, then you can import it back into RKLogoEdit to replace the original screen.
Do you have a copy of the correct firmware for your player?, this is important because there are lots of different versions around and some people have messed their button arrangement by uploading the wrong firmware.
Cheers

Hi
yes i have a version of the firmware that works with my player although my built in speaker now does not work (only comes on when plug in the headphones so i have had to remove a wire for now so i can actually use it!!!)
i have updated the firmware seveeral times now with various tests etc, mainly to see what images actually exist, i.e put a white background on the music player helped me see that almost every bit of text has an associated graphic under it (very annoying)
i like the onda firmware and i used your file to view it, it seems, when viewing the firmware to have eliminated most of the clutter in terms of extra graphics and also to have rearranged things aswell, be great if we could turn some bits off (like the annoying and ultimately useless graphic eq images
thanks for all your work on this rockchip stuff, i think that we should put aside the actions stuff now and focus on this rockchip stuff
cheers |

makd511,
Did you was able to extract the firmware of your rockchip device? or where did you get it?
I do have a Chinese rockchip of unbranded manufacturer that seems to be TJD model SYM-417, 2.2 screen (220x176), with menu of 9 icons.
I want to mount the "nice theme" that comes with RKLogoEdit1.0.0.16 but I don't have the proper firmware.
My firmware is version 00.00.0008 dated 2006-12-04.
The last I know is that is not possible yet to extract firmware. Due to that would be nice to know where did you get yours.
Thanks in advance,
Daremo |
