Hi dear friends, i came to this site newly, and i came to u asking a help.
I have this MP4 which i cant see any manufacturer name written on it!! it is only written on it MP4 DIGITAL PLAYER!
when i connect it, my pc says "rockUSB connected".
i opened it and i saw the chops written on it ROCKCHIP RK 2606 a
1 - I tried to find firmware for it but nothing! Also i was in trouble coz many sites were totally in Chinese!!
2 - I tried to extract my original firmware by s1 tool but each time the pc says there is no USB connected although i connected it and the pc read it ![/[/color]b]
plz i know u r all here well experienced in this fieled , shall anyone tell me hown can i manage this? or even give me site for firmware of this type , or even give me program to transelate the chinese web pages
i attached some picture for my MP4 so one of u may know it
and this is its interface from inside

ahmedfareed2000 , are you having any problems with your player? If not, i'll suggest you leave your player as it is, and don't do anything to the firmware.
Rockchip players once bricked, are very difficult to recover as there are no tools available on the internet that i know of which could repair it. Most cases needs to be fixed at factory-level. |

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

ahmedfareed2000 , there are no software available to extract rockchip firmwares. So you can't find any extracted firmwares from others.
There is an update tool for rockchip players, but only use it if your player is dead. Regarding the firmwares, as mentioned, it is very rare and difficult to find. |

I'm sorry to say this, but firmware for unbranded Rockchip players doesn't exist for download on the internet.
Sometimes if you are VERY lucky you might get a copy on a CD with your player. |

upgrading firmware is the last treatment in repairing. do not do it if u r not sure the problem.
each Rockchip's firmware is pair with it's own upgrade tool. nearly 0% for end user to get Rockchip's firmware & tool together.
*cielo009, try to change USB cable or computer's USB port or computer or check the connect of USB pins with PCB. |

looks like you need to take it apart and do the tweezer trick on the flash. |
