I've got a nano clone 1Gb with a CTW500 chip.
first of all the battery signal was saying it was loading when connected to the computer but in fact when I removed it :no power.
I tried to fix it by flashing correct firmware but it is now blocked and stays on a frozen screen (sometimes black and sometimes cut in two parts but without animation showing the initialization)
whatever I flash into it , when detected it always says

I don't know how to get italive, I tried almost everything on the forum and nothing works!
it is still detected as USB device and can be accessed through wondows explorer.but does not play or start when connected to the computer (I try to load the battery Li-ion 3.7V 240mA with a power supply limited to 10% capacity:25mA!!)
does it need an internal power source, even connected to usb to run the firm?
please help me it is my daughter christmas gift and I cannot find any details about players with this CTW500 chip.
I tried 9.0.43 for CTW500 (it is the only one I found) but without success.
do you have info about that kind of pb?
