Hello all, i have been trying to play some videos on the Pro Sound Mv-72 mp3 2GB version. i have downloaded the amv convert tool and have trying all kind of different options to try get the video working on this mp3, with no success.
the video is recognized in the player, but some videos just show the first frame and then followed by FORMAT ERROR. other videos play to the 4th second or so and then the same error message.

i thought for a second it was old firmware but i havent been able to backup the current firmware, so there is no way i will try to upgrade without a backup first. music works fine. and i can hear the audio when i start the video, till the device gives the error.

if this helps, here is the info the device gives in firmware version:

2006/09/10
9.0.52

B600N4xV3.0
2008/01/17

if it helps here is the info from the MP3 player firmware upgrading tool:

device name: S1 Mp3 Player
productor: Wilson Co. Ltd.
Version: 9.0.52

what can you guys tell me what could be the problem??

Hi hectorprada73,

What version of the MP3 Player Utilities are you using? What options have you tried?

Also, do you have a SAMPLE VIDEO that came with your player? If you do, can you check it's resolution settings? Or you can upload it to this site and we'll take a look at it.

The firmware version of your player tells me it's an Action based player so it should play .AMV files.

What screen size is your player? You should be able to use 128 x 128 as a general one but get back to us about the questions above.

Hi adam_d,

If you can share what you wrote in the PM in this forum, that would be great. It means that other members in the future will know what the solution is.
