hi.. i m new in this grp.. i own a mp4 player with 2gb memory.. it was working fine.. nut i m facing the problem tht when i m trying to upload any amv or the mp3 file.. its showing uploaded but when i m trying to play it in the player in care of the amv player its showing format player and in case of the mp3 files the player cant detect it.. nd its autometically restarted..i 've not still formatted it.. wht shud i do.. but the player can read the files which were uploaded back till the problem arises.. nd if i 've to format it.. from where nd how i can format.. there is no format option in my player.. plzz anybody help me. Crying or Very sad . my firmware version is

drbuddy , i'll suggest a format on your player. The guide is here http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-removing-memory-hack-vt2400.html

Be prepared for a drop in memory capacity, as the symptoms you mentioned are those of a hacked memory chip.

shittt!!!! wht u told its really the truth.. its turning out to be 223.7mb.i cantacted my seller.. he is agrree to hear anything .. just saying tht i 've shown u the real memory capasity of 2gb now u 've done the faulty formatting..nd ur memory is lowered.. just return me with the \2gb memory nd i ll refund.. nw wht ll i do? plzz tell me the way by which i cann again increase the fake memory again to 2gbb to show him.. plzzplzz i need it i know it can increase the possibility to kill my mp4 bt i ll nt mind as it ll be his mp4 not mine after tht..

bhaskar , where did you purchase the player from? If it is ebay, raise a dispute with ebay/paypal.

If it is a shop, then tell them that the formatting program is provided with the CD that was sold with the player. So there is nothing wrong with the format.
If they say that you should not use the program, then ask them why is it even provided in the CD in the first place.

wow. just read through this thread. And if I understqand it right then it seems like this is the same problem I might have! Although my memory check shows up a 1946M

i ll tell my seller abt tht.bt ll u plz tell me is there any procedure to increase the fake memory again to 2gb just to show then and to get back the refund. if there is any way plz tell me.
