Hi Gemelo71,

what about actions chips???? i hope answers

I need more information in regard to the encryption, if I cannot decrypt the firmware, we are going to have trouble editing it.

I am still working on it, if anyone has any more info, let me know.

Cheers

My Actions player crapped up for good, so is there any chance you can make editing Sigmatel firmwares possible? I'll be more than happy to provide a few for testing purposes.

Hi,

I only have an Onda, so I will not be able to test the Sigmatel FW, if you can open the fw in the Editor, then you can edit it, but I cannot promise it wont screw up your player, there are no guarantees in this game..

I know how to recover my player and i do have a backup, so please see what you can do with this: http://www.mympxplayer.org/sigmatel-firmware-well-mp4-play01-stmp3500-df719.html

The graphic files and fonts are in resource.bin.

Thanks in advance!

Just thought i'd mention there is a bug when editing the .lst entries.

If you accidently delete a number or put in a zero amount when changing the vertical or horizontal resolution all the pictures go blank and you need to completely reload the firmware and the .lst

heya, dancemammal, it may be in another post, but ive had problems using it in vista. I upload a correct bmp, but when i double click it to see it, its all screwed up. Maybe its just a vista issue, ill try the new ver and see if it works. Also, ive had a problem with changing the recording screen for the onda vx858le, same mp4 player you have i think, any help on it? I get artifacts where the words are on the recording main screen.

PS love your editor though, it really is great.

I don't own a VX858LE, but there are 2 versions of .lst, have you tried them both?
look here:-
