File - AMV Convert Tool 4.03 - MP3 Player Utilities 4.03 - (14.54 MB)
Description: If you have an MP3/MP4 player that supports .AMV video playback, then you will need the following tool to convert your videos to a .AMV file so it will be playable on your player.

This version can now encode .AMV files to 208x176 screen size. It also has a new skin and the option to change the layout of the video.

Instructions on how to convert to an .AMV file can be found here.

Instructions on how to update the firmware of your MP3/MP4 player using the MP3 Player Upgrade Tool can be found here.

Note: You need to have DirectX 9.0 and Windows Media Player 10 (or higher) as well as neccessary CODECS installed beforehand.

You can download the SLD Codec Pack 2.2 from here.

I frequently find that DOWNLOADING does not work from this site. Instead I get this cryptic message:

"You can not download this file directly from another site!"

Have you considered letting other sites serve as secondary mirror ftp hosts when this site does not seem to work?

I would have no problem storing 100MB of files or so on one of my sites.

Thanks for the link.

This download error occurs about 50% of the time from my location. I get the same error on a neighbor's PC. Eventually (a day or two later) I am usually able to get the file without the error message.

Vegas215.com

Thanks for mentioning this. I set the option to disable 'hot linking' and I think this might be the reason why it's doing that. I will look through the settings tonight and try disabling it... hopefully I can still remember where it is! Smile

i convert using this amv convert tool 4.03 , and it only work fine when i select deasil 90. if i put normal , the amv will hang and the sound not so good when i play it using my ipod clone player.

i had tried using all the earlier version tool but the converter program just can't open and it says require window media version 9 above even though i already installed the window media 9. only this version work well but still got a bit problem as stated above.

need some advice here, please.

This version seems to be unable to transcode to 160x120. (Selecting the 160x120 option encodes as 176x128.)

Version 4.00 could transcode to 160x120.

This version does have a nice automatic transfer option though.

YA, U ARE RIGHT, THE OUTPUT OF THE IMAGE IS 176 x 128 , no wonder why the mtv hang on my player.

anyway, i manage to use the amv converter version 4 already, no longer gie me any problem to convert to 160 X 120. just i doubt the quality of the image . will it be better than the latest version 4.03. is the codec use in version 4.03 give more better quality result than the version 4?

I just got a ipod looking mp3 player and installed the AMV Video Convert tool version 3.64 and since I wasn't able to change the options in the program for different quality or video size, I wanted to delete this and reinstall a newer version. I have tried and tried and tried to remove it off, even as far as searching the registry for the keys it added. I haven't had any luck at all. I manually deleted the program folder with the program files in it and now I have it stuck in between. It won't let me add any version, even the same one back...tells me" previous version installed, need to uninstall before adding new version". I am stuck in a bind, can't fully get the old one off to do anything. Are there any alternative convert to AMV programs available??? I really appreciate anyones help that may have experienced this same trouble.

brad2157,

in my case when i uninstall amv converter, i use to click deldrv.exe inside of the amv converter folder itself. it's a program that come together when u install the amv converter. when u click the application, normally it will tell u some error but just ignore it and then it will uninstall the amv converter itself. after that u can go back to add/remove program inside the control panel then only u will be able to uninstall or delete the whole amv converter from the add/remove.

in your case, i don't know how u gonna to install back the original version 3.64 then uninstall back. but try to get the deldrv.exe program to work for u.
