| File - AMV Convert Tool 4.00 - MP3 Player Utilities 4.00 (7.13 MB) |
|
| Description: |
If you have an MP3/MP4 player that supports .AMV video playback, then you will need the following tool to convert your videos to a .AMV file so it will be playable on your player.
What's new with this version:
* Encodes .AMV files at 128X128 and 160X120 resolutions only.
* Has a NEW application called "Media Manager", used to make playlists etc..
NOTE: This version I feel is not fully stable so use it at your own risk.
Possible Bugs:
* People have reported problems with converted .AMV files erroring out after awhile.
If you get an error saying "failed to register", just click on [continue] instead.
Instructions on how to convert to an .AMV file can be found here.
Instructions on how to update the firmware of your MP3/MP4 player using the MP3 Player Upgrade Tool can be found here.
Note: You need to have DirectX 9.0 and Windows Media Player 10 (or higher) as well as neccessary CODECS installed beforehand.
You can download the SLD Codec Pack 2.2 from here.
If you have problems installing this software, please have a look at our knowledge base here.

|
|
Do not use this version 4.00 for the Yepo 757F with 1.5" screen. For most video clips, try version 3.68, instead.
Unfortunately, v3.68 does not convert MP4 files. Neither version works that well for the 757F - about 20% "playable" success. The solution is to convert in two stages: (1) use Pocket DivX Encoder (Palm Tungsten setting) to create 128x96 AVI files (2) then, convert these intermediate files using AMV Converter 3.68. The end result is a much higher playable success rate.
See my AMV conversion testing page:
