Description: "wiRe" has released a new tool S1Clone for cloning 9.X.XX series players.

The new tool creates an image file of the players memory including the locked firmware section for backup purposes. The image can then be used to recover a dead 9 series player provided it is the same specifications as the original donor player.

This is a very different tool to s1fwx and can take between 2-3 hours to create a memory image file.

I recommend that if you own a 9 series player that you use the tool to create a backup of your players memory. Be aware though that your player will first be formatted in order to decrease the size of the backup image so be sure to remove any files you wish to keep before running the program.

It took about 10 min to extract the FW of my player.

My player is:

maker : SINO-MOS ELECTRIC LTD
PCB : YSB76108 V1
Chip : ATJ2097
Flash : 1580DAEC - HYNIX/SAMSUNG 256MB(LBF)(protected=0)

Core : 9.0.43
FW : 6108 V1.0
