I was not asking for the part # of the NAND flash (which is a 1Gbyte unit) but of the Actions chipset. 40 pin square IC.

pejlicko , the processor chip would be something like ATJ2085, ATJ2097, ACU7503, etc. Identifying it would allow you to narrow down the suitable group of firmwares.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

pejlicko , your player would be using the v9.xx series firmwares here http://www.mympxplayer.org/actions-9xx-firmware-dc37.html
You'll need to MP3 Utilities Upgrade Tool to flash them in.

As there is no way to tell which firmware would work fully with your player, you'll need to try all those for your screen size. Good luck.

Uchiha007 , what happens next would be you'll need to start trying all the v9.xx firmwares here http://www.mympxplayer.org/actions-9xx-firmware-dc37.html

As there is no way to tell which firmware would work with your player, you'll need to try all those for your screen size until you get a working one.

Hi guys!
I have a similar player. (Wilson, 1.8", 2G, fw: 9.1.52) Which is the latest version, and what problems are fixed in it?
In fact, I'm interested in modified firmwares which have faster menu handling, and enable parameters to be set in a wider range. For example, switching to the next file immediately without slowly fading out the current one, etc...
Does somebody have any information? Thanks,
vjalle

Hi Milimili!
I don't have the file, I've bought it on Ebay with this fw. I gave it to my girlfriend, I was very annoyed by the huge number of bugs. If the fw can be read back from the player, tell me where is the necessary program, and I save the fw for you.

Hi vjalle,
You can extract firmware with s1clone, (clona all the memory inclued firmware) then can modify the firmware with other software.
download s1clone: s1clone
